This Life was written after a conversation with Taran about Robin William’s death. I call this our 8 minute song as the lyrics appeared the next morning in about 3 minutes. Darryl created the melody with guitar and voice in 5 minutes (the track you hear is the first take), after walking round the studio listening intently to me repeating the lyrics. We lost a lot of dear friends from all walks of life in 2014, hence “the Life Force waxes & wanes.”
